Houston investor acquires Bishop Arts mixed-use portfolio in $170M deal

A Houston investor, Hines Global Income Trust, has acquired a mixed-use portfolio of nine buildings situated in the Bishop Arts District, marking its second acquisition in the area since August. The company announced that it invested more than $170 million in this complex, which includes 539 residential units and 49,000 square feet dedicated to upscale retail.

The Bishop Arts Portfolio spans nearly seven acres, and Corbin Eckel, managing director at Hines, expressed his commitment to enhancing the locale’s reputation, noting, “Bishop Arts is a special place, shaped by the care and investment of its prior ownership.” Among the notable tenants in the newly acquired properties are the Michelin-recommended Italian restaurant Lucia and the New American eatery Written by the Seasons. Hines will oversee all leases for several residential properties and retail spaces within this diverse portfolio.
