Barsella: New Italian Eatery Set to Debut Near SMU this Winter

A new Italian-American dining venue, Barsella, is set to open this winter at 5600 SMU Blvd.

New Italian restaurant with pizza-slice window to open near SMU Dallas

A new Italian-American dining venue, Barsella, is set to open this winter at 5600 SMU Blvd. Ste. 120, beneath the Belclaire Apartments close to Greenville Avenue. This establishment, led by Dallas native and first-time restaurateur Oliver Steinberg, will offer a full-service restaurant, pizzeria, and cocktail bar, catering to different dining experiences throughout the day.

Guests can expect to grab a quick New York-style pizza slice from the window, enjoy an intimate dinner with a curated wine selection, or relax on the patio with friends while enjoying live music and light bites late into the night. Steinberg describes Barsella as a potential neighborhood hub designed to serve high-quality Italian classics such as rigatoni alla vodka, ravioli, and lasagna. The venue will also feature a pizza window under a vibrant marquee, alongside a main dining room accommodating 80 diners and a private area for 16. A lively nightlife atmosphere with live music from Thursday to Saturday until 2 am is also anticipated.
