Budget airline Avelo adds 2 Florida routes from McKinney with $69 fares

Avelo Airlines, known for its budget-friendly options, will commence flight services from McKinney National Airport (DTX) starting on Veteran’s Day, November 11. The airline is adding two new nonstop routes to Florida cities: Sarasota/Bradenton and West Palm Beach. These flights are set to launch on December 16 and 17, with introductory one-way fares beginning at $69.

From DTX, flights to Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays, while flights to President Donald J. Trump International Airport (DJT) in West Palm Beach will be available on Thursdays and Sundays. This announcement follows the recent unveiling of four new routes to popular tourist cities, including Denver and New Orleans. Avelo is also introducing additional service to Las Vegas, increasing its weekly flights to six. The expansion highlights Avelo’s commitment to serving Collin County, a rapidly growing area in North Texas, according to Andrew Levy, the airline’s CEO.
