DFW Airport opens new Terminal A gates for American Airlines

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport has officially opened the initial four gates of its Terminal A Pier Expansion. This newly available area allows travelers to access gates A10, A11, A13, and A15, which are operated solely by American Airlines. The airline commenced flights from these gates last week and anticipates providing over 200 departures from this terminal on its busiest days.

The Terminal A Pier Expansion encompasses a 140,000-square-foot area that includes new dining options, enhanced restroom facilities, broader walkways, higher ceilings, and improved lounge areas. However, details regarding the opening dates for the additional six gates have yet to be disclosed, although officials are hopeful that the entire expansion will be operational in time for the winter holiday travel season. This project is part of a larger multi-year development plan, with the final expansion set to offer a total of 10 gates, consisting of five rebuilt and five new gates.
