Bland ISD voters consider $269k bond proposal on Nov. 3

The Bland Independent School District is prompting its voters to consider a bond proposition that entails a tax increase to enhance maintenance and operations revenue by 8.49%. Specifically, this proposal aims to secure an extra $268,919 for the district’s operations.

Proposition A proposes to ratify an ad valorem tax rate of $0.91090 per $100 of property valuation for the current fiscal year, marking an increase in maintenance and operations tax revenue compared to the previous year. Early voting begins on October 19 and will continue until October 30, with Election Day slated for November 3, when polling stations will operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters should be aware that even if the tax rate does not increase, property appraisals may still lead to higher tax bills.
