Dallas weather: Cool spell ends State Fair of Texas as steady warming trend approaches

In Dallas, the final day of the State Fair of Texas is expected to feature seasonably cool temperatures and bright sunshine. Following a period of unseasonably warm weather earlier this month, high temperatures at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport were reported at 66 degrees after a strong cold front came through on Friday and Saturday.

On Sunday, temperatures are set to rise to a comfortable 73 degrees under clear skies. While recent dry conditions have persisted, North Texas is currently nearly 2 inches above its average for October rainfall, with 3.94 inches recorded at DFW Airport. A period of dry weather is projected for the upcoming week, as high pressure stabilizes the climate. Starting Monday, temperatures will gradually increase, reaching the 80s by Tuesday and mid-80s by the weekend. Morning lows will rest in the 50s and 60s. Additionally, while tropical activity is being tracked off the U.S. East Coast and in the Pacific, including Hurricane Trudy near Mexico, no impacts are anticipated for Texas.
