DART leaders address ongoing investigation into incoming CEO's previous job in Florida

DALLAS – DART’s new CEO, Nathaniel Ford, currently faces a subpoena tied to a criminal investigation concerning his tenure with the Jacksonville Transit Authority (JTA) in Florida. Despite this, leaders of DART expressed their continued support for Ford during a recent Dallas City Council Transportation Committee meeting.

Interim CEO David Leninger and DART Board Chair Randall Bryant addressed inquiries regarding Ford’s hiring. Ford was named as CEO in July, while JTA is grappling with a multimillion-dollar deficit and has come under investigation for expenditures during his leadership. Bryant affirmed the board’s belief in Ford, stating, ‘There is not any belief of the board to make a change in that decision. We have affirmed Nat Ford as our CEO, and we continue to do that.’
