NTT Data Establishes Cyber Defense Center in Plano

NTT Data, a leading IT services and consulting firm, has opened its Cyber Defense Center in Plano, Texas, where its North American headquarters is located. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on October 9.

The Japanese company reported approximately $30 billion in revenue in its latest fiscal year and employs over 2,500 individuals throughout Texas, including in cities such as Plano, Farmers Branch, Garland, and Austin. The new center aims to bolster NTT Data’s cybersecurity strategies by utilizing AI capabilities, threat intelligence, and human expertise to identify and tackle cyber threats.

Plano Mayor John Muns emphasized the significance of this new center for the region, noting its role as a milestone in community progress driven by talent and investment. NTT Data’s expansion comes during Cybersecurity Awareness Month, underscoring the importance of ‘cyber resilience.’
