DFW Venture Capital Rebounds in Q3, but 2026 Total Still Trails Last Year

The latest report indicates that Dallas-Fort Worth’s venture capital funding for the first nine months of 2026 has fallen nearly 10% compared to the same timeframe in 2025, totaling close to $1.73 billion. However, the third quarter proved to be encouraging, marking the fifth-best quarter since PitchBook-NVCA Venture Monitor began collecting data in 2016, with startups raising $962.5 million across 52 deals, significantly up from $448.4 million in the previous quarter.

Highlighting the positive trend, the largest VC rounds included $400 million raised by Island and $300 million by Verily. Moreover, Startup Genome has recognized Dallas as the 27th top startup ecosystem globally, a rise of 11 positions from last year. This growth reflects a robust startup activity, with a valuation of $51 billion for the Dallas ecosystem based on data through 2025.
